The Change Email Address screen allows you to change the email address you need to enter when your use the Forgot Your Password and Forgot Your Username screens accessed from the Login screen. This email address is the one you entered when you registered for online access to MySCERA. This email address is the one that is used to send you your MySCERA password or username is sent in the event you forget them, as well as all confirmation e-mails that MySCERA sends you when you update information online. Changing your email address on this screen DOES NOT change the email addresses on file for you with SCERA used for sending normal email communications. To change those email addresses, you must use the Contact Information screen.
To access the Change Email Address screen, click on the Change Email option in the left menu (under Settings). The Verify Identity screen appears.
To continue changing your e-mail address, enter your password and click the Continue link.
The Change Email Address screen appears.
Your current email address is displayed. Enter the new email address in the New Email Address field and enter it again in the Confirm Email Address field. Click the Update link and the new email address is saved.
Anytime during the process before clicking Update, you can stop the process by clicking Cancel. This cancels the email change process and takes you to your summary page.
When you change your email address in this manner, a confirmation email will be sent to both your old and new email addresses.
