Nominated Beneficiary Information

The Beneficiaries screen allows you to view the beneficiary designations you have on file with SCERA. These are the people who have been named to receive your benefit upon your death.

To access the Beneficiary screen, click on the Beneficiaries option in the left menu (below Member Information). The Nominated Beneficiaries screen appears.

Each of your nominated beneficiaries on file with SCERA is displayed with some or all of the following information:

• Name - Nominated beneficiary's name.
• Date of Birth - Nominated beneficiary's birth date
• Designation - Designates the nominated beneficiary as a primary, secondary or alternate beneficiary of the survivor benefit.
• Relationship - Nominated beneficiary's relationship to you
• Distribution Percent - Percentage of any survivor benefit the nominated beneficiary is entitled to.
